EverQuest 2 Ranger Guide

For Scouts, you’ll want to make a macro that looks something like this C

/useability Gnoll Master’s Sinister Strike ; /useability Skeleton Master’s Sinister Strike
/useability Giant Master’s Sinister Strike ; /useability Golem Master’s Sinister Strike
/useability Elemental Master’s Sinister Strike

Insert whatever options you choose in place of the ones I have listed and it will work great as long as you follow that exact layout. You must have a semi-colon in between each /useability command if you put more than two commands on the same line, and there must be a spaceRF Online Money between the command and the semi-colon.

12.2. Fun with Macros

12.2.1. Makeshift Arrows Macro
Probably the best ranger-specific macro ever is the following one that casts Makeshift Arrows (or whichever of the upgrades you’re using) every time it refreshes, andRequiem Gold serves the dual function of reminding you to use the macro again it when the skill refreshes. Set it up exactly as follows, with one line of text on each line of the macro window C

/useability Makeshift Arrows
/r_alrm_sess_dur_minutes 11.0
/alarm_restart_sess_dur_alarm

When you use this macro, it will cast Makeshift Arrows for you, and it will also set up the EverQuest 2 in-game alarm so that the alarm will go off after eleven minutes, at which time Makeshift Arrows will be ready for you to cast again.

12.2.2. Enemy Strikes Macro
Once you get up to having four or five different enemy strikes, things get a bit confusing because all the icons look the same and it’s hard to remember which one to use unless you can memorize the locations of all five. In addition they just take up a lot of space on your hotbars (I have five full hotbars up on my screen, I need to save as much space as possible or risk having that expand into six, so I love space-saving ideas like this one).

This macro activates all your enemy strike attacks one by one until one of them lands. It works becauseRequiem Power Leveling the enemy strikes are creature specific, so the macro will just attempt to cast each one until it gets to the one that works. This one is great for everyone, but it’s slightly different for each archetype, as they all have different Enemy Strike attacks (however it does not work for Fighters, as their enemy strike attacks are proc buffs they cast on themselves, and therefore they are not creature-specific, so the macro doesn’t work).Requiem Money

EverQuest 2 Ranger Guide

The best money from harvesting ? nodes comes at the start of each expansion. People will pay high prices for collection itemsRagnarok Online Zeny while they’re still rare,RO Gold so if you spend time harvesting these you can make a lot of money selling them. When Kingdom of Sky was released I made several plat a day selling collection items priced at 20g each. This lasted for about a month, after which prices plummeted quite rapidly.

EverQuest 2 Ranger Guide

You can make quite a lot of money right from the start, as things like butterflies and moths can sell for 50s or more, and they’re very easy to find in the starting adventuring zones like Oakmyst Forest and the Sprawl. In Antonica inRagnarok Online Zeny particular, there are some very good spots for finding cracked bones, some of which can sell for 10g or more. Outside of Vhalen’s Tower is an excellent spot that yields cracked bones quite often. Be on the lookout for Antonican Ficus leaves as well, as they can also sell for several gold.

In Stormhold you can find cracked bones, beetles and spiders, in the Thundering Steppes you can find ants as well as several bone types, and the Ruins of Varsoon will yield beetles and sometimes enchanted bones and glowing shards. All of these types of collectible will sell for at least 1-2g each, and more for the rare ones. In Nektulos Forest you can find Nektulos pine needles (as well as various bones and insects), and these can sell for 10g and more because they’re quite rare.

The Enchanted Lands and Zek are not quite as lucrative but there are still several good finds to be made here. In the Enchanted Lands, maple leaves are a common find and sell for 1-5g, and in Zek unscathed bones are a common harvest and sell for a similar price, and sometimes more if you find rare bones.

Everfrost and Lavastorm are not particularly good places to harvest collectibles, but for tier five, Feerrott is excellent for fern leaves, which canRagnarok Online Gold sell for 5-10g each. IRO Zeny highly recommend getting access for the inner area in the Obelisk of Lost Souls, as there are several great places to harvest in here. If you have access to the first area (gained by killing named shadowmen in the outer cave) you can head in through the first door and go through the passages until you get to the room with the shadowmen around the walls. At 50+ these will all be grey to you, and in this room ? nodes spawn that almost always yield either enchanted bones or glowing shards, both of which sell very well. An hour spent harvesting here can yield 50g or more.

Lastly, if you have the Bloodlines or Splitpaw expansion packs, harvesting collectibles in these zones is good money too. Vampire fangs, bloodstone shards, and Splitpaw collectibles sell well. In general, any collectible items from new expansions or adventure packs will sell for a lot of money for the first month or two, and then will slowly drop in price as they become more easily available C it’s possible to make quite a lot of money selling these items in the first few months.

11.7. Collectibles
Collectibles are the name given to the items yielded by the ? nodes that you can find all over Norrath. To be able to farm these effectively you’ll need to turn up certain particle settings in your options menu. Turn your clip plane and spell particles all the way up and you’ll be able to see the nodes from quite a great distance, which makes farming them a lot easier. Pirates of the Caribbean Power Leveling

When selling collectibles be aware of market changes and try to adjust your harvesting schedule based on what’s currently rare on the fence and broker. You’ll make the best money if you always harvest the items that are the most rare and in demand. Demand and supply constantly change so it pays to check the market daily to see what the current big sellers are.

11.6. Harvesting
Harvesting is a great way of making money if you’re prepared to put the time into it. Everything you can harvest sells at the right price, and provisioners especially will pay a fairly high price for certain items. Roots also sell for a good price as they are used by all tradeskill classes so they’re in high demand. Harvesting rare and uncommon items will save you a lot of money in upgrading your gear, and will bring in a lot of extra cash if you end up with spares you can’t use. Everywhere you go, take a little bit of extra time to harvest what you comePOTBS Power Leveling across, and if you put it all up for sale at the end of the day it will almost always sell as long as you don’t overprice your goods.

Bear in mind that several Heritage quests require that you harvest quite a lot of items at certain stages, soPirates of The Burning Sea Power Leveling it’s a good idea to get these quests and do the harvesting while you’re raising your skills. Dwarven Workboots, Ghoulbane, and Polished Granite Tomahawk all require harvesting at some stage in either Antonica or the Thundering Steppes, and many other Heritages require that you do some harvesting or get harvested rare/uncommon items as well. At 20 skill you can harvest in Antonica and the Commonlands. At this point, it’s a good idea to get the Dwarven Workboots Heritage quest, as this requires you to harvest ore and wood in Antonica. In Thundering Steppes and Nektulos Forest, be on the lookout for Palladium in particular C this sells well becausePirates of The Burning Sea Doubloons Gold it’s used in a Heritage quest as well as for spell upgrades and jewelry. Both the Dusty Blue Stone (pre-quest for Ghoulbane) and the Polished Granite Tomahawk quests require you to harvest stone in Thundering Steppes.

The following set of tables lists all the harvests up to tier 7, and which zones you can find them in.
